SchemaPulse monitors data schema changes across warehouses and critical pipelines, then turns them into governance-ready events: who changed what, when, where it propagates, and what will likely break. It connects to common sources (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Postgres) and compares live metadata snapshots to a baseline. When drift occurs—column type changes, dropped fields, renamed tables—it alerts the right owners, opens a ticket, and records an auditable change log. The MVP focuses on pragmatic governance: schema contracts, approvals for high-risk changes, and impact checks against downstream models/dashboards. This is not a full “enterprise governance suite”; it’s a focused guardrail for teams that keep getting surprised by broken dbt models, failing ETL jobs, and inconsistent metrics. Expect some setup work and imperfect lineage early on, but the value is immediate when it prevents one incident.
