SchemaPulse is a web app that sits between your sources and your warehouse/lake and continuously detects schema drift before it breaks downstream ETL jobs. It profiles incoming tables/files, compares them to expected contracts, and alerts on risky changes (type widening, nullability shifts, missing columns, new enums). Instead of just notifying, it can generate safe migration plans: add columns, backfill defaults, or create compatibility views, with approvals and audit logs. The product targets teams that already have pipelines (Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Kafka) but keep getting paged for “sudden” upstream changes from SaaS APIs, partner feeds, or internal microservices. The honest reality: you won’t replace incumbents; you’ll win by being a narrow, high-signal guardrail that reduces incidents and data downtime with minimal setup.
