SchemaSentry

SchemaSentry is a GitHub/GitLab plugin that automatically detects breaking API changes in OpenAPI/GraphQL schemas during pull requests. It posts a clear, actionable report: what changed, whether it’s breaking, which endpoints/fields are impacted, and suggested versioning (semver) and migration notes. It also generates a lightweight changelog entry and can block merges when a breaking change violates your team’s rules. The MVP focuses on being boringly reliable: deterministic diffing, minimal false positives, and fast CI execution. This is not a magic “AI code reviewer”; it’s a guardrail for teams that ship APIs and get burned by accidental contract breaks. Optional AI assists can draft human-readable release notes and migration snippets, but the core value is strict schema diffing and policy enforcement. Works as a web app + CI integration (plugin) with a small dashboard for history and rules.
