SchemaSentry

SchemaSentry is a web app (with optional CLI agent) that monitors data contracts across your warehouse/lakehouse and catches breaking changes early. It continuously profiles tables, streams, and event payloads to detect schema drift, null spikes, type flips, late-arriving data, and silent truncation. When it finds a risk, it opens a pull request with a proposed contract update, generates dbt tests, and posts a clear blast-radius report showing which models, dashboards, and downstream jobs will fail. It also keeps a lightweight lineage map by parsing dbt/SQL and warehouse query logs, so teams can see who owns what and who to notify. This is not a magical “AI fixes your data” product; it’s a pragmatic guardrail that reduces firefighting and makes changes safer. Best fit is teams already on Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks who feel constant pain from upstream changes.
