SchemaSwitch

SchemaSwitch is a web app (with optional CLI) that helps teams ship API changes without silently breaking downstream consumers. It ingests OpenAPI/GraphQL schemas from repos or gateways, then runs automated compatibility checks and generates a concrete migration plan: what changed, who is impacted, and what to do next. The product focuses on the unglamorous but expensive reality: most orgs don’t know which clients use which fields, and “we’ll communicate deprecations” often fails. SchemaSwitch adds lightweight runtime usage tracking via a small proxy/sidecar or gateway integration, so you can see real consumer traffic by endpoint/field and confidently schedule removals. It also produces PR-ready changelogs and deprecation notices, and can block merges when a change would break active consumers. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps draft migration notes and suggested shims, but the core value is deterministic compatibility analysis and usage evidence.
