SciBrief

SciBrief is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps science-policy teams digest long, technical policy documents and translate them into decision-ready briefs. Users upload or link to bills, agency notices, consultation drafts, or parliamentary reports. The app extracts key claims, affected research domains, compliance dates, funding implications, and stakeholder positions, then generates a structured brief with citations back to exact source passages. It also tracks changes across document versions and flags what materially changed, reducing the time wasted re-reading near-identical drafts. This is an AI-assisted workflow, but it’s built to be auditable: every summary line links to supporting text, and users can export a “brief pack” for internal review. Realistically, it won’t replace policy analysts; it will cut first-pass reading and change-tracking time.
