ScopeGuard

ScopeGuard is a web app (with Slack/Teams integration) that helps managers detect and prevent “silent scope creep” in knowledge work. It connects to Jira/Asana/Linear and your calendar to map what was planned versus what actually consumed time: ad-hoc requests, meeting load, interrupts, and untracked tasks. The app prompts team members with a lightweight daily 30-second check-in to tag unexpected work, then aggregates it into a weekly “scope drift” report with concrete examples and owners. Managers get alerts when a project is at risk due to unplanned work, plus suggested interventions: renegotiate deadlines, reassign tasks, or reduce meetings. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI clusters similar interrupts, summarizes root causes, and drafts stakeholder update messages. The goal is not surveillance; it’s making invisible work visible so leaders can manage capacity realistically.
