ScopeLedger

ScopeLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps sustainability teams define, document, and enforce system boundaries for ESG and carbon reporting. Users map entities, sites, products, and processes into a boundary “ledger” with version control, approvals, and audit-ready change logs. The app flags boundary drift: when acquisitions, divestitures, supplier swaps, or process changes silently invalidate prior baselines. It includes a lightweight rules engine to encode boundary policies (equity share vs. control approach, inclusion thresholds, data quality requirements) and a connector layer to ingest org structure from HR/ERP exports. An AI assistant can summarize boundary decisions, draft methodology notes, and detect inconsistencies between narrative disclosures and the boundary ledger. The goal is not to calculate emissions; it’s to prevent the common, expensive failure where numbers are questioned because the boundary was unclear or changed without governance.
