ScopeLock
ScopeLock is a web + desktop (Slack/Teams) app that helps knowledge workers set and enforce work boundaries without awkward confrontation. It plugs into Slack/Teams and email to detect boundary violations like after-hours pings, “quick asks” that are actually projects, and recurring meetings that exceed agreed time budgets. Users create lightweight “boundary rules” (e.g., no messages after 6pm, max 6 hours/week of meetings, requests must include deadline + owner). The app then auto-replies with a polite template, suggests a next available time, or routes the request into a simple intake form. It also generates a weekly boundary report you can share with your manager: what interrupted you, what was out-of-scope, and the cost in hours. It’s brutally practical: it won’t fix toxic workplaces, but it will give you receipts and friction that reduces abuse.
