ScopeLock

ScopeLock is a lightweight project “scope gate” that sits between requests and your task system. It’s a web app with Slack + email intake that forces every new request into a 60‑second template: goal, deadline, impact, owner, and what gets deprioritized. Then it generates a one-page scope agreement and pushes approved work into Jira/Linear/Trello with a clear tradeoff log. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI rewrites vague requests into crisp acceptance criteria, flags missing info, and predicts hidden work based on similar past tickets. The honest reality: teams don’t fail because they lack tasks; they fail because they accept ambiguous work and never record tradeoffs. ScopeLock makes “no” and “not now” operational, not emotional, and creates an audit trail that protects ICs and managers when priorities inevitably change.
