ScriptLedger is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for screenwriters who constantly rewrite and need a clean, defensible record of what changed and why. It combines traditional tooling with light AI: you write in Fountain/Final Draft import, then the app automatically generates version diffs, change summaries, and “revision receipts” you can share with producers, co-writers, or clients. The core value isn’t another editor—it’s accountability and workflow clarity: who requested what change, when it was delivered, and how it impacted pages, scenes, and character arcs. It also supports contract-friendly exports (dated PDFs, watermarking, and audit trails) and simple milestone invoicing tied to delivered revisions. Realistically, writers already have plenty of writing apps; this wins only if it becomes the easiest way to manage rewrites professionally and avoid disputes about scope, credit, and delivery.
