ScriptProof

ScriptProof is a web app (with a lightweight desktop companion) that helps linguists, font designers, and localization teams catch writing-system mistakes early. You upload a font file and sample texts (or connect a repo), pick target scripts (e.g., Devanagari, Thai, Arabic, Cherokee), and the app runs automated checks: missing glyphs, broken shaping, incorrect diacritics positioning, bidi issues, line breaking, and common Unicode normalization problems. It generates a clear report with screenshots, minimal repro strings, and severity scoring so teams can fix issues fast. It also includes a curated “script test suite” library you can reuse across projects, plus CI-friendly exports so checks run on every release. This is not a consumer novelty app; it’s a practical QA tool for shipping readable text across languages. The MVP focuses on a few high-impact scripts and the most common failure cases.
