ScrollReceipt is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that turns your daily screen time into a blunt “receipt” you can’t ignore. It pulls your device’s app-usage data, then converts it into trade-offs: hours lost, sleep impact estimates, and what that time could have produced (e.g., workouts, pages read, language lessons) based on your chosen goals. It also highlights “trigger loops” by correlating spikes in usage with time-of-day, location, and notification bursts. The core is not meditation or vague wellness tips—it’s accountability with clear numbers and weekly trends. You can set one or two hard rules (e.g., no social apps after 11pm) and the app enforces them with escalating friction: delay timers, forced breaks, or a “paywall” you set (donate to a cause you dislike if you override). It’s designed to be uncomfortable, because comfort doesn’t change habits.
