SDSBuddy

SDSBuddy is a mobile + web app that makes Safety Data Sheets (SDS) actually usable on the floor. Teams scan a QR code on a chemical container or storage cabinet to instantly pull the correct SDS, PPE requirements, first-aid steps, and spill response—offline-capable for warehouses and plants with spotty connectivity. Admins can upload SDS PDFs, map them to internal SKUs, set review/expiry reminders, and generate a simple compliance report showing which SDS are current and who accessed what. The app also supports “quick cards” that summarize critical hazards in plain language for non-experts, while still linking to the official document. This is not glamorous, but it’s practical: it reduces the time workers spend hunting binders, lowers incident risk, and helps small-to-mid businesses stay audit-ready without buying heavyweight EHS suites.
