SealCheck

SealCheck is a mobile app (with a small web dashboard) that helps water and winter athletes verify critical gear readiness: drysuit gaskets, PFD condition, helmet integrity, bindings, boot fit, avalanche beacon battery, and water-tight storage. Users follow short, checklist-based inspections with photo evidence and time-stamped logs, then get reminders based on usage and conditions (saltwater, UV exposure, freeze/thaw cycles). It’s not magic: it won’t “diagnose” hidden damage perfectly, but it will catch the common, preventable failures people ignore until a trip is ruined or someone gets hurt. The app also stores serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty windows, and service history, making it easy to prove maintenance for rentals, guides, or insurance claims. Optional AI assists by flagging obvious wear in photos (cracks, delamination, gasket tears) and suggesting next steps.
