SeamSense

SeamSense is a mobile + web app for homeowners and flooring installers that helps prevent common rug and flooring problems: edge curling, seam separation, ripples, and premature wear. Users log a rug or room (size, material, pad type, traffic level), then run quick guided checks (humidity, subfloor type, door clearance, vacuum type, cleaning method). The app generates a realistic risk score and a short, actionable checklist: correct pad thickness, tape vs. gripper choice, acclimation time, humidity targets, and when to re-stretch or re-tape. It also tracks maintenance reminders and stores photos over time so you can prove “before/after” if a retailer or installer disputes a warranty claim. This is not magic: it won’t diagnose every issue from a photo, but it will catch the preventable mistakes that cause most callbacks and complaints.
