SeatSense
SeatSense is a mobile app that helps people set and maintain personal-space boundaries in crowded, shared environments (planes, trains, buses, theaters, coworking). It provides quick, polite scripts and escalation paths for common boundary violations: armrest hogging, seat-kicking, bag sprawl, loud calls, unwanted conversation, and line-cutting. Users select the setting and issue, then the app generates a short, context-appropriate message they can say or show on-screen (large text “Please stop kicking my seat” style). It also offers a “log it” feature to record time, seat/area, and notes, plus a one-tap “get staff” checklist tailored to the venue (e.g., what to tell a flight attendant). This isn’t magic: it won’t stop rude people, but it reduces decision fatigue and helps users act faster and more confidently.
