SeatSketch

SeatSketch is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for teachers who need fast, defensible seating arrangements that reduce disruptions. You import a roster, drag-and-drop a room layout, and tag students with constraints like vision/hearing needs, behavior triggers, peer conflicts, IEP/504 notes, and preferred supports. The app then generates multiple seating options and explains the tradeoffs (e.g., “kept conflicts apart, but increased distance from board for two students”). It also supports quick re-seating modes for tests, group work, and substitutes, plus printable charts and a simple “who sits where today” link. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI suggests layouts and flags likely issues, but the teacher stays in control. Realistically, the product wins only if it’s faster than a spreadsheet and doesn’t require constant data entry.
