SeatSnap is a mobile AI + traditional app that helps parents reduce common car-seat installation mistakes using guided photo/video checks. The app walks users through a short, model-specific checklist (rear-facing angle, harness height, chest clip position, slack test, belt path, tether use). It then analyzes a few images and a 10-second video to flag likely issues (e.g., twisted straps, loose harness, wrong recline) and generates a simple “fix it” plan. It also stores each child’s profile (height/weight/age), reminds users when they’re nearing seat limits, and provides quick “what changed?” prompts after travel, cleaning, or switching vehicles. This is not a legal certification tool; it’s a practical pre-check that encourages safer setups and directs users to local CPST resources when the app detects high-risk patterns.
