SeatStamp

SeatStamp is a mobile + web app for shared spaces (offices, studios, labs, dorm common rooms) that makes “who owns this spot right now” unambiguous. Users scan a QR/NFC tag at a desk, locker, shelf, or parking spot to create a time-boxed claim (e.g., 2 hours, today, this week) tied to a policy set by admins. The app shows a simple status: claimed by whom, until when, and what the rules are (grace period, auto-release, allowed extensions). It also supports lightweight “territory etiquette” workflows: request a handoff, report abandoned items, and log recurring conflicts. This isn’t a magic culture-fixer; it’s a clear system of record that reduces arguments, lost time, and passive-aggressive note wars. It’s designed for small-to-mid organizations that can’t justify expensive workplace management suites but still suffer daily friction.
