SeatSwap is a mobile + web app for verified peer-to-peer resale and swapping of film festival tickets and passes, built around identity checks and event-specific rules. Users can list a single screening ticket, bundle, or pass day, set a price cap (or enforce festival face-value rules), and complete the transfer through escrow. The app verifies sellers with government ID + selfie match, and verifies ticket ownership via email parsing, QR validation, or festival-provided transfer links (when available). Buyers get a clear “transferability score” per festival and screening, so they know what’s actually likely to work at the door. SeatSwap also supports last-minute “line-release” swaps: if you’re stuck in a rush line, you can buy a confirmed seat from someone who can’t make it. It’s not glamorous, but it solves a real festival headache.
