SeatSwap is a mobile + web app that enables sanctioned, in-venue seat upgrades and swaps during intermission (or designated windows) for Broadway and regional theaters. Audience members can list seats they’re willing to trade (with price difference rules), request upgrades, and complete transfers through the theater’s ticketing system—no shady scalping, no awkward negotiating. The app focuses on operational reality: it only works with participating venues and only within their policies, using verified tickets and venue-controlled time gates. Theaters get a new revenue stream (upgrade fees), better seat utilization (empty premium seats filled), and fewer customer-service headaches from “can we move?” requests. Users get a simple way to improve their experience without gambling on last-minute discounts. This is not a magic demand generator; it’s a conversion and yield tool for venues that already have demand but leave money on the table.
