SegmentScout

SegmentScout is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that standardizes vehicle “type & segment” labeling across messy real-world listings. Dealers, marketplaces, and fleet managers constantly inherit inconsistent trims, body styles, and segment tags (compact vs midsize, crossover vs SUV, etc.), which breaks search filters, pricing comps, and analytics. SegmentScout ingests VINs, listing text, and photos, then outputs a clean, auditable segment classification plus confidence score and the exact rules/evidence used. It also flags edge cases (e.g., “coupe SUV”, lifted wagons, rebadges) for quick human review in a queue. The product is not magic: it won’t perfectly classify every weird import or heavily modified vehicle, but it will dramatically reduce manual tagging time and improve catalog consistency. Integrations focus on CSV, Shopify-like inventory feeds, and common dealer systems via API/webhooks.
