SeismoSafe

SeismoSafe is a mobile + web app that turns earthquake early-warning and shaking reports into clear, local, do-this-now guidance for homes and small businesses. Instead of blasting generic alerts, it asks a few setup questions (building type, floor, gas shutoff access, family plan, critical equipment) and then delivers tailored checklists before, during, and after shaking. It also provides a simple “status board” for a household or office: who is safe, who needs help, and what utilities were shut off. The app pulls official feeds (USGS/ShakeAlert where available) and crowdsourced “felt it” confirmations, but it prioritizes reliability: it shows confidence levels and avoids panic-inducing language. This is not a miracle predictor; it’s a practical preparedness and response tool that reduces confusion in the first 10 minutes after an event.
