SensoryMap

SensoryMap is a mobile + web app that helps neurodivergent people (ADHD, autistic, sensory-sensitive, anxiety-prone) plan outings by predicting sensory load in real places. Users search venues (cafes, gyms, stores, clinics) and see a “sensory profile” score: noise, lighting, crowding, smells, queue chaos, and staff flexibility. The app combines community check-ins (quick 15-second ratings), optional phone sensor sampling (ambient dB, light level), and time-of-day patterns to recommend calmer windows. It also offers a “Plan B” button that instantly suggests nearby lower-stim alternatives and a short self-advocacy script (e.g., asking for dimmer seating or quieter corner). It’s not therapy and won’t “fix” neurodiversity; it reduces avoidable overwhelm by making environments more predictable and giving users practical escape routes.
