SepsisNudge

SepsisNudge is a web app (with optional mobile push) that plugs into a hospital’s EHR via FHIR and continuously watches vitals, labs, meds, and nursing notes to flag patients trending toward sepsis. Instead of blasting generic alerts, it produces a short, clinician-friendly “why now” card: the top 3 drivers (e.g., rising lactate, new hypotension, increasing O2 needs), what’s missing (e.g., no blood cultures ordered), and a suggested next action bundle aligned to the site’s protocol. It also tracks alert outcomes (acknowledged, acted on, dismissed) to tune thresholds by unit and reduce alarm fatigue. This is not a magic diagnosis engine; it’s a workflow tool that helps teams recognize deterioration earlier and standardize first-hour actions without forcing clinicians to click through long guideline pages.
