SepsisPing
SepsisPing is a web + mobile clinical decision support app that monitors hospitalized patients for early sepsis deterioration and prompts a standardized response bundle. It ingests vitals, labs, and nursing notes from the EHR, then calculates risk using a transparent rules layer plus an AI model that flags concerning trends (e.g., rising lactate, hypotension, increasing O2 needs). The app doesn’t “diagnose”; it prioritizes patients for clinician review, suggests next-step orders aligned to local protocols, and tracks time-to-antibiotics and fluids. It also includes an audit trail for why an alert fired, and a feedback button so clinicians can label alerts as useful or noise. Realistically, the hardest part is integration and clinical governance, not the UI. The MVP should focus on one unit (ED or ICU) and one EHR integration path.
