SeriQC

SeriQC is a mobile + web app for small silk producers, cooperatives, and traders to standardize raw silk and cocoon lot grading without expensive lab gear. Users capture short videos/photos of cocoons or reeled silk, enter basic context (breed, rearing date, storage, humidity), and run a guided QC checklist. The app produces a simple grade report (cleanliness, defect flags, estimated filament uniformity proxies, moisture risk) and a shareable “lot card” PDF with timestamped evidence. It also tracks lot history, buyer feedback, and disputes, so producers can learn what drives downgrades. This is not magic: it won’t replace lab testing for high-end exports, but it can reduce subjective, inconsistent grading in local markets and help sellers negotiate with documentation. Monetize via subscription for cooperatives/traders plus per-report fees for occasional users.
