SermonScout

SermonScout is a web + mobile AI-assisted research app that helps Protestant pastors and preaching teams quickly find credible sermon illustrations, historical context, and cross-references tied to a specific passage or theme. Instead of generating full sermons (which many pastors distrust and which creates theological risk), it focuses on sourcing: it pulls from public-domain theology, reputable commentary metadata, news archives, and user-curated illustration libraries, then outputs a short, citeable “illustration brief” with links and suggested placements (hook, transition, application). Pastors can build a personal library, tag content by series, and share briefs with staff. The app also includes a “sensitivity check” to flag illustrations that may be culturally tone-deaf or unverifiable. Realistically, churches will pay only if it saves time every week and reduces embarrassment risk.
