SermonSift

SermonSift is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps pastors, students, and lay teachers build better talks without accidental plagiarism or sloppy sourcing. Upload notes or paste a draft, then search a curated library of public-domain texts, licensed commentaries, and reputable philosophy/religion references. The app highlights uncited claims, flags suspiciously close phrasing to common sermon sites, and generates clean citations in your preferred style. It also offers an AI-assisted “outline helper” that suggests structure options and counterpoints, but keeps the user in control with source-first outputs. Realistically, this won’t replace deep study; it just removes the time-wasting parts: finding quotes, verifying attributions, and formatting references. Teams can share a private library of approved sources and reusable outlines across a church or campus group.
