ServiceGap

Unincorporated residents and small developers often waste hours figuring out which agency handles what: sheriff vs. city police, county road maintenance, fire district, water/septic rules, trash service, permitting, and code enforcement. ServiceGap is a web + mobile app that turns an address or dropped pin into a clear “who to call” service map and checklist, tailored to unincorporated areas. It aggregates county GIS layers, special district boundaries, and public contact/fee data, then flags common edge cases (overlapping districts, annexation pending, ambiguous mailing vs. jurisdiction). The app also generates a shareable PDF “Jurisdiction Packet” for lenders, realtors, and homeowners, reducing back-and-forth calls. This is not glamorous, and data quality varies by county, but even partial coverage in high-growth counties creates real value for people who are tired of being bounced between offices.
