ShadeMatcha

ShadeMatcha helps shoppers stop guessing foundation, cushion, and concealer shades across Korean and Japanese brands. Users take a short guided selfie scan (controlled lighting prompts), then calibrate against a known reference (a current product shade, or a simple printed card). The app maps the result to a cross-brand shade library built from real user swatches, retailer images, and structured undertone/finish metadata. It outputs 3–5 best matches per brand, flags likely oxidation, and suggests undertone-safe alternatives when a brand’s range is limited. This is an AI-assisted mobile app with a lightweight web portal for community swatch uploads and moderation. Monetization is affiliate links and optional premium for advanced comparisons and “shade confidence” scoring. The hard truth: accuracy will never be perfect, but reducing returns and disappointment is still valuable.
