ShadeProof
ShadeProof helps people choose at-home hair dye shades that actually match their hair history and goals. You upload a few photos in natural light and answer a short questionnaire about current color, gray percentage, past treatments (bleach, henna, box dye), and desired result. The app then recommends a small set of realistic shade options and developer/toner guidance, plus a “risk rating” that flags common failure outcomes like brassiness, hot roots, or uneven lift. It also generates a step-by-step plan (strand test, timing, sectioning) and a shopping list tied to major retailers. This is not magic: it won’t promise salon-level transformations. It focuses on preventing the most expensive mistakes—buying the wrong shade, skipping strand tests, and misunderstanding lift—so users get predictable, acceptable results at home.
