ShareShield

ShareShield is a SaaS web app with lightweight desktop agents that prevents accidental data leaks in modern collaboration tools. It focuses on the highest-frequency exfil paths for SMBs: Slack/Teams messages, Gmail/Outlook sending, and browser uploads to common SaaS apps. Admins define simple policies (e.g., block SSNs, customer lists, API keys, source code snippets, PCI data) and choose actions: warn, require justification, auto-redact, or block. Users get real-time, in-context prompts that explain what triggered the rule and how to fix it (masking, secure link, approved channel). It includes an “incident inbox” that groups repeated violations, provides audit trails, and exports evidence for compliance. This is a combination traditional + AI app: deterministic detectors (regex, fingerprints) plus an LLM to classify context and reduce false positives, which is the main reason DLP tools get disabled.
