ShedSense
ShedSense is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) for lizard keepers who struggle to spot early signs of shedding problems, dehydration, and husbandry drift. Users log quick weekly check-ins (photos, appetite, weight, behavior, last shed date) and the app flags patterns that commonly precede stuck shed, tail-tip necrosis, or chronic dehydration. It also connects to inexpensive Bluetooth temp/humidity sensors to detect enclosure swings and correlate them with health events. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps compare current photos to the animal’s baseline and highlights changes (dullness, retained shed around toes, abnormal swelling) while keeping expectations realistic—this is not a vet diagnosis tool. The app focuses on actionable husbandry recommendations, reminders, and a clean exportable history for vet visits. Monetization is subscription plus optional sensor bundles/affiliate links.
