ShedSignal

ShedSignal is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for small-to-mid commercial building operators to execute demand response without bespoke integrations. It ingests DR event notifications from utilities/aggregators (email, webhook, or calendar feeds), converts them into a step-by-step runbook, and tracks real-time performance using interval meter data. The app focuses on the unglamorous reality: most sites fail DR because instructions are unclear, staff turnover is high, and verification is painful. ShedSignal provides pre-built playbooks for common loads (HVAC setpoint adjustments, lighting trims, refrigeration defrost shifts, EV charger throttling) and logs who did what and when. It generates a simple evidence packet for settlement: baseline assumptions, event timeline, meter deltas, and operator notes. It’s a traditional app with a small AI layer to draft runbooks and summarize post-event results.
