ShedSnap

ShedSnap is a mobile AI + traditional app for reptile and amphibian owners to track skin, shedding, and body condition over time using standardized photos. Users take quick weekly “check-in” photos guided by on-screen framing and lighting tips, then the app organizes them into timelines per pet and flags visible changes (retained shed, swelling, mouth rot warning signs, abnormal coloration, weight/shape shifts). It does not pretend to diagnose; it provides risk indicators, care checklists, and prompts to contact a qualified exotics vet when patterns look concerning. The app also includes a simple husbandry log (feeding, misting, substrate changes) so users can correlate issues with recent changes. Realistically, the AI will be imperfect—especially across species—so the product leans on consistent photo capture, trend detection, and education rather than “instant diagnosis.”
