ShelfClock
ShelfClock is a mobile + web app that helps households track pantry staples by “use-by priority” instead of perfect inventory. You add items fast by scanning receipts or typing a few basics (item, size, date bought). The app estimates realistic shelf-life windows (opened vs unopened) and nudges you with a simple “use next” list, plus low-effort meal suggestions based on what’s nearing expiry. It also supports a lightweight par-level system for true staples (rice, flour, oil, canned beans) so you don’t run out mid-recipe. This is not a full pantry management fantasy product—most people won’t barcode-scan every jar. ShelfClock is designed for partial data and still delivers value: fewer expired items, fewer emergency store runs, and less decision fatigue when cooking.
