ShelfPilot

ShelfPilot is an in-store kiosk + web admin platform that answers one question shoppers constantly ask: “Where is it?” Customers type or speak a product name, scan a barcode from a phone, or select a category. The kiosk returns a simple map with aisle/bay location, real-time stock confidence, and the fastest route from the kiosk to the shelf. For associates, it provides a “pick assist” mode to fulfill click-and-collect orders faster. The AI component normalizes messy product names (e.g., “AA batteries”, “double a”, brand misspellings) and supports multilingual queries. Brutal reality: this only works if location data is accurate; the product is worthless if the store can’t maintain planograms and inventory signals. The MVP should focus on one store format and one POS/inventory integration, not “universal retail.”
