ShelfProof is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps shoppers avoid low-quality or mislabeled health and wellness products at grocery and big-box stores. Scan a barcode and get a plain-English “confidence score” based on third-party testing (when available), brand track record, recall history, ingredient red flags, and price-to-dose comparisons. It also flags common marketing traps (proprietary blends, under-dosed actives, sketchy claims) and suggests better-value alternatives available at nearby retailers or online. This is not a magic health oracle: many products have limited public data, and the app will clearly label uncertainty rather than pretending to know. Revenue comes from subscriptions for power users (advanced comparisons, household profiles, alerts) and affiliate links where appropriate, with strict separation between scoring and monetization to maintain trust.
