ShelfSense

ShelfSense is a mobile + web app for independent pet stores to track shelf inventory and vendor reorders without expensive retail systems. Staff scan barcodes during stocking and quick cycle counts; the app flags low stock, dead stock, and “phantom inventory” mismatches. It generates simple purchase-order suggestions by vendor, pack size, and lead time, and sends them via email/PDF so stores can keep existing supplier relationships. A lightweight sales log (manual entry or POS export upload) improves reorder accuracy over time. This is a traditional app with a small AI layer: it forecasts reorder quantities using recent sales, seasonality, and delivery cadence, but keeps human approval front-and-center. The goal is not to replace a POS—it's to give small shops a practical inventory brain that reduces stockouts and cash tied up in slow movers.
