ShelfSense

ShelfSense is a mobile + web app that helps people define, track, and enforce “micro-territories” in shared homes and offices: fridge shelves, pantry bins, bathroom cabinets, closets, and desk drawers. Users create a simple map of shared zones, assign ownership or time-based rights, and set rules (e.g., “top fridge shelf is mine,” “this bin is shared,” “my leftovers expire in 3 days”). The app generates QR labels for shelves/containers; scanning shows who owns it, what’s allowed, and when items should be removed. A lightweight AI layer reads photos of a shelf to suggest boundaries and detect obvious violations (e.g., someone’s items in your zone) but doesn’t pretend to be perfect. It also provides a neutral “audit log” for disputes and reminders to clear space, reducing passive-aggressive conflict without requiring a landlord or manager.
