ShelfShield

ShelfShield is a mobile + web app for small retailers to run fast, repeatable product-safety checks at receiving and on shelves. Staff scan a barcode, snap photos of packaging/labels, and log key compliance fields (expiry, lot/batch, warnings, country of origin, tamper seal). The system flags common risk patterns: missing allergen statements, damaged seals, expired items, mismatched shelf label vs package, and supplier substitutions. It creates an audit trail with time, user, store location, and photo evidence, then generates simple “pull from shelf” tasks and printable quarantine labels. This is not a magic recall oracle; it’s a practical workflow tool that reduces human error and makes inspections consistent. It also stores supplier contacts and templates for incident reporting so managers can act quickly when something looks off.
