ShelfSignal is a lightweight inventory management web app (with optional mobile scanner mode) built for small multi-location retailers and parts-heavy service businesses that are too small for NetSuite and too busy for spreadsheets. It focuses on one job: preventing stockouts and overbuying with fast, reliable reorder signals. Users connect POS/ecommerce (or import CSV), set lead times and minimums, and the app generates a daily “buy list” ranked by urgency and supplier constraints. It supports barcode scanning for cycle counts, simple receiving, and exception alerts (negative stock, unusual shrink, supplier delays). This is not a full ERP—no complex accounting, manufacturing, or warehouse robotics. The goal is to be the “inventory autopilot” that a manager can trust in 10 minutes a day, with clean audit trails and role-based approvals.
