ShelterOps
ShelterOps is a web + mobile operations app for homeland security-aligned emergency management teams to track shelter status, capacity, staffing, supplies, and critical issues in real time during disasters. It replaces messy spreadsheets, phone trees, and inconsistent reporting with a single operational picture: who is open, how many beds are available, what medical needs exist, and what resources are running low. Field staff can check in via mobile, submit standardized situation reports, attach photos, and request resupply with auditable timestamps. Command staff get dashboards, map views, and automated alerts when thresholds are crossed (capacity, temperature, generator fuel, staffing gaps). The app is designed for low-connectivity environments with offline-first data capture and delayed sync. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the kind of unsexy coordination tooling that reduces chaos, speeds decisions, and prevents avoidable harm when shelters surge.
