ShelterOps

ShelterOps is a web + mobile operations app that gives cities and NGOs a live, verified picture of shelter readiness during disasters: beds, power, water, staffing, medical supplies, accessibility, and current occupancy. The core problem today is that shelter status is often stale, fragmented across spreadsheets, radio calls, and ad-hoc messaging—leading to overcrowding in some sites and underuse in others. ShelterOps combines structured check-ins from shelter managers with lightweight proof (timestamped photos, quick audits) and integrates with 311/dispatch workflows so routing decisions are based on reality, not yesterday’s report. An AI layer flags anomalies (e.g., “capacity unchanged for 12 hours,” “photo doesn’t match reported occupancy”) and predicts near-term shortages based on inflow trends. The MVP focuses on operational truth: one source of shelter status that responders actually trust.
