ShelterSync
ShelterSync is a web + mobile app for emergency management teams to track shelter status in real time across a city, county, or region. It replaces chaotic phone trees and stale spreadsheets with a single operational picture: current occupancy, available beds, ADA capacity, generator/fuel status, staffing gaps, supplies (water, cots, meds), and urgent issues. Shelter managers submit quick check-ins via mobile (even on low bandwidth), while EOC staff view a live map, trend charts, and automated alerts when thresholds are hit (e.g., 90% capacity, no nurse on shift, fuel < 12 hours). The app also supports “resource requests” that route to logistics with clear priority, timestamps, and status. It’s not a full incident management suite; it’s a focused, deployable tool that can be adopted fast during storms, wildfires, heat events, and mass displacement.
