ShiftBuddy

ShiftBuddy helps new parents coordinate the messy reality of newborn care without turning it into a relationship war. It’s a mobile app with a lightweight AI layer that builds a shared schedule for feeds, diaper changes, soothing, and “protected sleep blocks,” then adapts based on what actually happened. Parents log events in two taps (or via voice), and the app auto-updates who’s “on duty” next, factoring in constraints like work start times, breastfeeding/pumping windows, and recovery needs. It also includes a simple “handoff note” system so one parent can tag what worked (e.g., swaddle + white noise) and what to watch for. The goal isn’t perfect tracking—it’s reducing decision fatigue and resentment by making responsibilities visible, negotiable, and fair. Exportable summaries help for pediatrician visits without obsessive data entry.
