ShiftHandoff

ShiftHandoff is a web + mobile app for manufacturing plants to standardize shift handovers and capture the “tribal knowledge” that gets lost in notebooks, emails, and hallway conversations. Operators fill a structured log (line status, downtime reasons, quality issues, safety notes, pending work orders) with quick photo/video attachments. An AI layer summarizes the last shift into a concise briefing, flags anomalies (repeat stoppages, rising scrap), and generates a prioritized to-do list for the incoming crew. Supervisors get a dashboard showing recurring issues by line, asset, and shift, plus audit-ready records for safety and quality. This is not a full MES replacement; it’s a lightweight layer that integrates with existing CMMS/MES via simple connectors and exports. The goal is fewer missed tasks, faster ramp-up, and reduced downtime caused by poor communication.
