ShiftLedger

ShiftLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for capacity planning in operations teams that live and die by schedules, throughput, and absenteeism. It ingests actual shift rosters, time-clock punches, order/work-ticket volumes, and cycle-time data to produce a realistic capacity forecast by hour/day/week. Instead of generic “resource planning,” it focuses on the messy realities: overtime rules, skill matrices, cross-training, planned downtime, and no-show rates. Users can run scenarios (add a shift, change staffing mix, outsource volume, adjust SLAs) and see impact on backlog, utilization, and labor cost. It also flags when the plan is fantasy—e.g., when required skills aren’t available or when historical variance makes the forecast unreliable. Exports are built for managers: simple staffing recommendations and risk notes, not 40-tab spreadsheets.
